RUMOR: Future A 25 AMG set to outperform all of its competitors

Ola Kallenius is determined to transform the new A-Class into a potent little beast. The future A 25 AMG, programmed for launch in 2013, will frighten its main opponents thanks to the impecable, dynamic ride and the top-notch performance. When it comes to the engine, the unit under the bonnet is currently being developed at the Mercedes-Benz HighPerformanceEngines Center in Brixworth, UK. Using Formula 1 knowledge and some state-of-the-art innovations, the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder powerplant should be capable enough to pack at least 335 hp, according to latest reports. But the AMG chief wants to blow the competition away, so this means the engine powering the forthcoming A 25 AMG, as well as the new CLC 25 AMG, could be rated at 350 hp or even 360 hp, reaching all four wheels through a new 4x4 system.
